Baby: Meet three couples who are facing the brave new world of parenthood in humorous and poignant fashion when Baby concludes this week with shows at 7:30pm Thursday through Saturday, and 2pm Sunday, at the Bellingham Theatre Guild, 1600 H St. The musical examines how parents-to-be experience the emotional stresses and triumphs, as well as the desperate lows and the comic highs, that accompany the anticipation and arrival of a baby. Moon Over Buffalo: Hilarious misunderstandings pile on top of madcap misadventures in Ken Ludwig's valentine to theater hams everywhere when Moon Over Buffalo shows at 7:30pm Thursday through Saturday, and 2:30pm Sunday, at Oak Harbor's Whidbey Playhouse, 730 SE Midway Blvd. Tickets are $20. Father’s Been to Mars: The Alger Lookout Thespian Association concludes its run of Father's Been to Mars with performances at 7:30pm Friday and Saturday, and 2:30pm Sunday, at Alger Community Church, 1475 Silver Run Lane. The comedy focuses on a television actor who can't separate his family life from his onscreen persona. Tickets are $12-$14. more »

Cupid’s Arrow: An improvised dating game dubbed "Cupid's Arrow" continues this week with performances at 8pm and 10pm Friday and Saturday, and 7pm Sunday at the Upfront Theatre, 1208 Bay St. The show is inspired by the classic 1960s and ’70s show The Dating Game, and has the "contestant "choosing from three outlandish characters inspired by audience suggestions (and then going on a date with him/her). The show runs weekends through February. Tickets are $10-$12 ($15 for the Valentine's Day show). more »

Vineyard Valentines Event: Art, artisan chocolates, wine and champagne tastings, treats, tours and more will be part of Valentine's Day Weekend happenings from 12-5pm Friday through Sunday at Mount Baker Vineyards and Winery, 4298 Mt. Baker Hwy. Tastings are $5. more »

My Circus Valentine: The Bellingham Circus Guild presents its almost-annual Valentine's Day event, "My Circus Valentine!," with shows at 6pm (family-friendly) and 9pm (21-and-over) Saturday and Sunday at the Cirque Lab, 1401 6th St. At the event, Guild members will be joined by dazzling special guests for interactive adventures, heartfelt performances, and jaw-dropping acrobatics. Tickets are $10 for kids 12 and under, and $20 for adults. more »

Rabbit Ride: Join members of the Mount Baker Bicycle Club for a "Rabbit Ride" starting at 8:30am every Sunday at Fairhaven Bike, 1108 11th St. The 32-mile route takes riders down Chuckanut and back via Lake Samish. The group also holds weekly rides Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. more »

Birch Bay Marathon: The 48th annual Birch Bay International Marathon starts at 9am at the south end of Birch Bay State Park, 510 Helwig Rd. The scenic and historic race is managed and directed by Joel Pearson, whose father, Jim Pearson, created the marathon and directed it for many years. Entry is $100; there will be no onsite registration. more »

Waltz Brunch: Learn waltz basics, enjoy a little food and spend some time dancing and socializing at a Waltz Brunch happening from 11am-1pm at the Bellingham Dance Company, 1705 N. State St. Entry is $8-$10; bring your Valentine along and learn one of the most classic, romantic dances of all time. more »

Baroque Valentine: Salmon Run Concerts presents stories of love and death and an "Ombre de mon amant" concert at 2pm at Mount Vernon's St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 415 S. 8th St. The performance—which will feature lauded soprano Linda Tsatsanis and cellist Nathan Whittaker—features evocative music of the French Baroque. Suggested donation is $20 (kids under 12 are free). more »

The Evolution of I Do: "The Evolution of 'I Do'" will be the focus of a musical demonstration and light lecture from Ray Kamada and the Protea String Quartet at 2pm at Whatcom Museum's Old City Hall, 121 Prospect St. The program recounts the rapid expansion of gigging string quartet repertoires over the past 10 years. West African Dance Class: Seattle-based dancer Frank Anderson will teach West African Dance from Guinea and Mali from 3:30-5pm at Presence Studio, 1412 Cornwall Ave. Drop-in prices are $7 for students, $15 general. more »

Semiahmoo Valentine’s Day Dinners: Make reservations for a six-course, prix fixe meal with stunning views overlooking the water and harp music from Melissa Snow at a Valentine's Day event from 5-10pm at the Pierside Kitchen at Blaine's Semiahmoo Resort, 9565 Semiahmoo Pkwy. Hooking Up with the Second City: If you're looking for a Valentine's Day date, "Hooking Up with the Second CIty" will be presented at 7pm at the Mount Baker Theatre, 104 N.
