Best Place to See Live Music/Best Place to Dance:

The Wild Buffalo

From recent sold-out shows featuring the likes of Charles Bradley and the Blue Scholars to weekly dubstep and reggae nights to free Friday shows and more, it's abundantly clear the Wild Buffalo is doing a lot of things right. And those of us who worship at the altar of the live music that fuels much of this town's fertile arts scene couldn't be happier about that. However, while the Buff won both of these awards handily, an honorable mention must be given to the Shakedown, which, just six months after opening its doors, earned enough votes as the Best Place to See Live Music to give the Buff a run for its money. But realistically speaking, in this kind of competition, we all win.
