Best BBQ:
On paper, Bayou on Bay is a Cajun/Creole restaurant, a place where you'd expect to find slow-simmered gumbo, bangin' jambalaya and mouthwatering etouffee. And those things can indeed be found there, and they are indeed very tasty. But if it's a pulled-pork po' boy that you're after, you won't find a better one this side of Lake Ponchartrain than the one at Bayou. If you like your barbecue traditional-and traditionally messy-go for the half-rack of house-smoked ribs. Wash it all down with an Arnold Palmer (either the virgin or spiked variety) and you're all set.
Where: 1300 Bay St.
