Best Bookstore:
Once again, Village Books has proven itself to be Bellingham's favorite bookseller. And, once again, the margin by which the independent bookstore won this category can only be described as "ridiculous." This is not just because Village Books is a longstanding Bellingham institution. Or even that Village Books owners Chuck and Dee are hands on, personable and immersed and involved in the community as a whole. But it's also because the store's carefully culled selection of tomes is like a little slice of paradise for even the most casual bibliophile.
